Recently, I had the pleasure of speaking on Le Podcast on Emerging Leadership.
Hosted by Alexis Monville, this episode was dedicated to AboveBoard's mission and our company's commitment to diversity and a vision for inclusion in executive hiring. You can have a listen below.
One of the key things we talked about was how modern leaders can approach inclusion in executive hiring and, adding diversity at the most senior executive levels. It’s not about quotas. It's about search and hiring processes that allow all qualified executives access to board or senior-level opportunity.
According to a 2020 McKinsey & Company study, 66% of C-suite roles in the corporate pipeline are held by white men. 19% are held by white women; 12% by men of color, and 3% by women of color. While this is certainly an increase compared to past years, women and ethnic/racial minorities are still significantly underrepresented on boards and in executive ranks. This is why I started AboveBoard.
AboveBoard is an inclusive platform for executive search that is striving intentionally to improve representation of Black, LatinX and female professionals on boards and at the executive level. As an AboveBoard member, you are valued for your unique background, expertise, and experience. This is why we provide the option to specify demographics (including gender, race, ethnicity etc.) when you complete your executive profile.
If you’re open to new opportunities, actively looking for a board role, or interested in a senior executive position...take your next step with AboveBoard.
